World Of Warcraft—Midnight

Overview

When Blizzard Entertainment launched World of Warcraft: Midnight, the goal was clear: create an animation that felt as epic in real life as it does in the game. This wasn’t just any outdoor ad — it was on Piccadilly Lights, one of London’s most famous screens — so it had to be bold, cinematic, and impossible to ignore.
Led by Olly Lausen-Mitchell the founder of Llama Agency, the team pushed the limits of digital outdoor advertising. Instead of just showing content, we made it look like the game was breaking into the real world, as if reality itself was tearing open.
We used large-scale visuals, layered animation, and precise perspective to transform the screen into a portal — creating a show-stopping moment that truly made people stop and stare.
